We’ve been thinking and rethinking our first business card for ages now. After a million billion designs and ideas, we’ve finally printed a design we’re very excited about. I don’t know if they are particularly amazing cards or if we’re just happy to actually have a card in hand, but these things are smokin’ hot.

We needed to finally come up with a ‘logo’ for Revin. The full name is so long it caused problems using as an icon/logo. So after going in circles and loops and down some dead ends, we ended up simply with a ‘R’ you’ll see from now on.
We think the card addresses how we feel about what we’re doing, its passion about the automotive industry and our love for design and aesthetics. Flat black and flames works so well, we just had to go for it. There’s 600 of em on the desk now, if you happen to get your greasy hands on one, we hope you like it.

Revin’s contact email was mixed up a little on the contact page, so I apologize for any lost emails sent via the contact page. Everything is fixed up now, so I just thought I’d post up a quick note to that effect.

I’m happily blogging from Revin’s newly acquired MacBook Pro which I use for all of my development and design work now. Although new computer bits will always make a developer happy, this “switch” as its been dubbed brings to possibilities with it.
Combine the fact that it can natively run OSX or Windows (due to the somewhat recent switch to intel processors) but in OSX I can now quickly fire up a virtural machine running any of the popular (and many of the less popular) operating systems in the wild today.
So now, we can test web page rendering in say… OSX Safari, OSX Camino, OSX FireFox, OSX Opera, OSX Netscape, XP IE 7, XP IE 6, XP FireFox, XP Opera, XP Netscape, Vista IE 7, Vista Opera, Vista Netscape, and Vista Firefox.

(Yea, thats 13 different browsers in 3 different operating systems)
All without shutting down, rebooting or using any other computers. Now, I don’t know if anyone else out there is as excited about this as I am, but now we can make sure the sites we build work everywhere, and our clients can put their minds to rest knowing we’re designing for all of their users.

We here at RevIn keep making new friends… and they have been keeping us very busy.
Our latest client’s site: High Performance Trucks is up and running as of today. We took Adam A.’s ideas and designed a custom site around his needs. The community site should provide for a kick ass destination for truck enthusiasts everywhere.
The site is a mix of a bunch of tools mashed up together:
- html/css targeted at NS7, NS8, IE6, IE7, FF1.5, FF2, O8
- Custom layout with randomized header graphics
- custom PHP5 scripting for templating the whole site
- Custom truck database and Flex 2 based administration panel
- Gallery2 image gallery integrated with VBulletin forum software
- Custom gallery 2 module for image linking
- Stylized WordPress blogging software
We hope Adam enjoys his new digs and the visitors have a nice new place to crowd around their trucks (other then the late-night parking lots). Now, let the content flow.
Happy New Years everyone, heres to ‘07 ..

Adam passed the torch on to me last week to get the final version of the site up and running. Conversion of the layout into xhtml/css was finished as of Dec 22, and we’re happy to see the Cuda in all it’s glory on the web.
A quick thanks goes out to Marty, the guys and Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop and the owner, Bob. It’s a fantastic looking car we’re proud to be a part of in one way or another. Good luck at the auction guys.
